Do you need a translation on short notice for a DriveTest or Service Canada appointment? I can help you! Below, I will discuss my policies for rush translation service (turnaround time in fewer than three business days).
I will be happy to accommodate you so you can take care of your important procedure. Please be aware that additional fees will apply since your rush request will occupy the time I would otherwise be spending on other commissions and tasks or even require me to work outside my normal business hours.
I will apply a percentage surcharge to my base price for standard service or charge a minimum fee for simple items like passport stamps. For next-day service, the surcharge starts at 33% and the minimum fee is $75 plus HST. For same-day service, the surcharge starts at 50% and the minimum fee is $100 plus HST.
Same-day service is only available for driver’s licences and related documents, ID cards, certificates, passport data pages and passport stamps. I am an individual service provider, not an agency, so my availability to accommodate rush requests is limited. If you require same-day service, please contact me as early as possible! I may not be able to assist you if you contact me later in the day.
When providing your quote for services, I will provide you with a deadline to make your advance payment in order to proceed with the services and deliver your certified translation package(s) on the requested date.
You will need to bring the paper copy of the certified translation package(s) with the translator’s ink signature and stamp for DriveTest procedures or other in-person procedures such as Service Canada passport applications and marriage licence applications. I will make the certified translation package(s) available to pick up at my home office in East Toronto (pickup details will be provided to you when requested or upon electronic delivery of the certified translation package). Pickup is available between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on business days.
If you are not able to arrive during my business hours, you must contact me to request and arrange pickup outside business hours. I can also arrange for same-day courier service to deliver your certified translation package(s). The fees for this service start at $23 plus HST (within 15 kilometres). I will need your daytime address and phone number to receive a quote from the courier service and set up the delivery.
